4 week Session
Wednesdays, April 3rd to April 24th 9:00am to 12:00pm
Materials Fee: $20 payable to the instructor

In this 4-week class, students will create contemplative art using cigar boxes, anchovy tins and matchboxes.  Assemblages may celebrate ones ancestry, spiritual icons or the natural world.  They may express aspirations or affirmations, or be vessels for creative self-expression.  We will start by transforming cigar boxes and other containers with paint, stamps, stencils and collage.  These boxes will be filled with personal mementos, natural artifacts and other meaningful embellishments. Cigar boxes, paint, stamps stencils and collage papers will be provided by instructor for a materials fee.  Students should gather personal objects and images to fill their assemblages.  Students should also bring scissors and a ¾”-1” flat synthetic brush.
