This class will introduce and teach how to create portraits.

About Larry Golden: Larry attended New Hampshire Art Institute from 1962-1966 while attending School at Saint Anslems on a Basketball and Art scholarship, his principal teachers during this time were John Locke and Ernesto Valentino. He received a B.A. (Bachelors of Arts) from Saint Anselms College in Manchester, New Hampshire. From 1966-1967 he was a united States Coast Guardsman, he was the ships Artist. From 1968-1970 he attended and graduated from Pratt Institute MFA (Masters of fine Arts) Program In Brooklyn, NYC, his Principal teachers at Pratt were George McNeill, and Jacob Lawrence. In the summers of 1976 and 1977 he studied with Frank Mason in Stowe, Vermont. 1982 to 1984 in the summers he studied at Lyme Academy, here he studied with Dan Geno and Dean Keller. Also in 1984 he studied at the Riley School of Art in Newrochel, New York here he studied with Ceasar Borgia. 1985 and 1988 he studied at the Vermont Studio School with Wolf Kahn and Alice Neil. 1986 he studied at the Art Students League with David Leffel and Jack Farasso. Larry Has taught painting and Drawing for 37 years at Saint Johnsbury Academy, a prestigious High School in Northeastern, Vermont.

Larry is an accomplished portrait artist he has been doing freelance and commissioned portraits and landscapes for over 40 years
