One-Day Workshop - Ages 16+

Sunday, March 7th  10:00 to 4:00PM

Materials Fee: $20 - $50  paid directly to the instructor

Join us for a full day in the jewelry studio and learn how to create a beautiful bezel-set ring from start to finish. In this hands-on class, you’ll work with a 10mm round turquoise cabochon and scalloped bezel wire to design and complete your own custom ring.

You’ll learn how to:

• Form and size your ring shank

• Prep and shape your scalloped bezel wire

• Solder your bezel to a base plate

• Clean, refine, and prepare your setting

• Solder the bezel onto your ring shank

• Set your stone securely

• Clean, polish, and finish your piece 

This class is perfect for beginners who want to try metalsmithing for the first time, as well as more experienced makers looking to refine their stone-setting skills. You’ll leave with a completed turquoise ring and the confidence to continue creating bezel-set jewelry on your own.
