Introduction:
This class is a candid and empowering conversation for working artists who want to sell their work with greater confidence, clarity, and integrity. Drawing from over 30 years of experience in fine art, craft, and teaching, this series helps artists navigate the complex world of art sales—from pricing and promotion to building meaningful customer relationships.
Class Description:
Whether you’re showing at craft fairs, taking private commissions, or exhibiting in galleries, this course provides real-world insights into the many paths to selling artwork. We’ll explore how to price your work based on materials, time, and artistic value; negotiate confidently; understand your audience; and adapt strategies for a range of venues.
Discussions will also include social media presence, commission agreements, how to talk about your work without underselling it, and retail considerations like display, packaging, and pricing tiers. Artists will leave with practical tools and a deeper understanding of how to create sustainable, authentic, and ethical art sales practices—without losing the soul of their work or their minds.
