Discover the ancient art of metalsmithing in a creative workshop that explores the history and craftsmanship of Viking jewelry, focusing on traditional symbols like the Solsnurra spiral, the protective Trollkors (Troll Cross) , and the serpent Nídhöggr. You will learn the significance behind these shapes, such as the spiral’s connection to the sun and the serpent’s representation of new beginnings.

The session begins with a demonstration of foundational blacksmithing techniques, showing how fire and anvil transform raw iron into delicate, wearable art. After exploring these historical forms, you will design and forge your own unique piece. Under expert guidance, you’ll master the basics of shaping metal, leaving the class with a finished pendant and a deep appreciation for old-world skills.
